cover madness: star studded vogue paris

i didnt really know Carine Roitfeld actually have a lil anna wintour in her. in the may 2010 issue of vogue paris, their cover was graced by 6 lovely powerful women of hollywood, which truly comes a as a suprise to me. Penelope cruz, meryl streep, julianne moore, gwyneth paltrow, kate winslet and naomi watts were looking fierce (and totally photoshopped, which btw, i dont find as such a big deal in this highly advanced taechnology days, i mean, what were those innovations made for? ). i didnt have an idea that vogue paris is also up with those hollywood stars who are being recycled over and over by her vogue-mate, devil-anna.

cover madness: jake for GQ

jake is the kind of guy that i dont always find hot or sexy or attractive but in this cover shoot he did for men's magazine GQ, he is absolutely drop-dead hotness! i mean, seriously, look how dapper but at the same time a lil scruffy he is but still pulling it off in a khaki suit and slim tie. although this is a decent photo and i have already seen pictures of him flashing his package, still you cant help but fantasize about him being naked.

oh, i dont know about you but i, sure as hell, loves this jake right here.

RB 2140 54mm. these codes have been haunting me in my dreams and even when i am fully awake, they keep on flashing in my mind and seems to speak a language that only me and this thing could understand. it keeps on speaking in a sweet melody of a joyful affair which has not stopped even once when it first started, as a matter of fact, it keeps on getting stronger and the words seems to get louder.

yes people of the earth and of the extra terrestrial, i am truly and seriously obsessed with these sunnies more popularly known as the wayfarers. these classic sunglasses never fails to add character in ones get-up and just makes it even more stylish. first introduced in 1952, the wayfarer had enjoyed its popularity until the 1960s from a range of fans who fancied its unique form and style. though the sunglasses kind of shied away from the scene, a product-placement deal in 1982 brought the wayfarers back to the top of the style pyramid. since the mid 2000s, it had experienced a variety of revivals including the uber popular, colored wayfarers. after the redesigns and the facing-out of the original style, the company had noticed that celebrities started to wear the vintage design and that similar items actually commands high price in ebay, giving them hint for the reintroduction of the original design.

i just love the vintage/classic feel of the wayfarer. its something that goes with anything that you wear plus there is just that kind of attitude when you wear it, i dont know, maybe its because of the blues brothers movie or tom cruise's Risky business.

O M G! those pair of loubotins is immaculate! truly breath-taking! shoes that only Victoria Beckham would wear like its her daily regular footwear. i am really speechless with this picture, indeed its a sight to behold.

p.s. how do you think this girl walk on those "painful-sacrifice" kind-of-shoes when both her poor feet looks broken?. i bet she just stood there the entire time and took the pair off in favor of flip-flops when she left the scene! lol For the love of Fashion. bow.

im really planning on getting myself a camel colored long-sleeved top like the one worn by Stefano Pilati of YSL. the color is very light and fresh looking, something that you dont actually see yourself sweating in. ive been thingking about it, as a matter of fact, its been haunting me in my dreams! like seriously!lolz but no, i really wanna get myself one but since here in my city the selection of clothes especially for men is quite minimal, i thought of just getting it custom made. but now the problem is the fabric which is more minimal here. lol

american designer Tom Ford has teamed up with cosmetics giant Estee Lauder and will release a lipstick collection soon. the collection has 12 colors and is made up of soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil, intended to offer a creamy texture and easy application.

Tom Ford says:

“This is my take on 12 classic lip colors. I took the most universally flattering colors that a woman can wear, and then I reimagined them in a modern and authoritative way. These are signature lip colors for the makeup connoisseur.

but, your gonna have to pay an "amount" for those lipstciks, each color is priced at $45. Whoa!

this is not really a fashion hit but i thought of posting this because of some random reason. but before we get to that let me just discus a little about this thing emma sported. the bra part looks granny-ish, the lace and leather is fine, but the floral embroidery is gross! it reminds of those really cheap grandma padded embroidered tops that are sold in department stores which, btw, was never fashionable! now, for the reason why i posted this photo... the ladies behind her are sporting some really hot designer heels. the one on the left (black dress) is wearing a pair of proenza schouler while the lady in pink wears gucci, both S/S 2010. lol

its pretty obvious that i really love and admire MKO's fashion sense (which is why she's my blog's muse), like how she put her clothes together, you know, the crazy miss-matching that she does. its very fascinating how she just kind of like throw all items that she has on her closet and still looking like a real fashionista. i know, a lot of people does'nt exactly understand her style but i personally think its fierce and i would actually dress my self like that if i have the kind of closet this olsen has. she and sister ashley are one of the very rare celebrities who actually have the credibility to do their own clothing line, and that explains why "elizabeth & james" and "The Row" their clothing lines, stood out from all those celebrity-designed brands and gained success in the market.


p.s. : look how full her Hermes Birkin is, its almost gonna blow. and that joker inspired cropped-jacket she is wearing,.. her twin ashley already wore that in a party they attended.

Oscar Curse?

could there be a real Oscar Curse? Kate Winslet separated from husband stage director Sam Mendes after nearly 7 years of marriage a few weeks or months after she won her first Oscar for best actress for the movie "the Reader". Now, After Sandra Bullock won her first ever academy award as the best actress for her portrayal in a drama "the Blindside", reports then surfaced that her husband Jesse James cheated on her and had a fling with a tattoed lady. Jesse did not deny the rumors and admitted to having a fling or affair with the woman named Michelle Mcgee that lasted for 11 months. a source revealed that michelle first "friend-requested" Jesse in myspace, and after couple of days time, he then started writing and calling michelle.
Jesse has released the following statement on People.com:

"There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me, It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way."

Michell turned over (duh! pretty sure she got paid $$$) the text messages she and jesse had exchange during their 11-month fling which were mostly during the time when Sandra was still filming "the Blindside" and some even as recent as March 14, just days after Sandra accepted her Oscar with her husband in the audience looking very proud and faithful.

Sandra has yet to release her own side of the story. meanwhile, Michelle Mcgee is also alleged to be a white supremicist or a fan of the Nazzi and their beliefs, due to the "W" and "P" tatoos which stands for White Power on both her legs.

Adriana Lima, Karolina Kurkova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Bar Rafeli and legendary Supermodel Elle "the body" Mcpherson walked on the Vuitton runway last March 8 , 2010 in Paris, which is quite strange and very unusual considering how skinny the models are when it comes to shows like vuitton and any other luxury house there is. in the past years, supermodels have had no luck in shows like this since their era is kind of considered "dead" and the trend now are models that are pretty muck skin-only and has no flesh at all. if we base it in the latest "figure standard" for a regular couture model, our Supermodels can be considered FAT already, although they are just curvy. but you know how the designers and casting directors get, they're usually mean and calls size 2 "big". good thing Marc Jacobs had thought to break the monolopy of the skinny model trend and sent out Victoria Secret Angels and closed his show by a Legend known as"the Body".

WOW! it seems like forever! when was the last time i actually posted something here? that probably was like 5oo centuries ago... kidding! lolz my last post was obviously on Feb when the iconic mr. R.I.P. ALexander McQueen, 1969-2010

Iconic fashion designer Alexander "lee" McQueen was found hanging dead in his london home, Thursday. Speculation is that McQueen was completely devastated by the recent loss of his beloved mother, and out of depression, hanged himself to death.

His mother, Joyce died on feb 02, 2010 and he took it so heavily. in one of McQueen's interview he was qouted as saying that his greatest fear was "to die before you", referring to his mother. aside from moms death, Lee McQueen also faced sadness as close pal isabella blow left 3 years ago and last years death of his aunt Dolly, a fixture in all his shows. He was also facing pressure to complete his Fall/Winter 2010 women's wear collection that's set to be launched on Paris next month.

The death of one of the worlds fashion genius has sent out million-bolt of shock waves to the fashion industry especially at the opening of an important event, the New York's fashion week. Alexander's friends and colleagues received the devastating news right at the beginning of the first major show beneath the tent at Bryant Park. Right after the last model walked off the runway, Vogue-editor-in-chief Anna Wintour quickly and immediately stepped out as other guests remained seated, stunned and shocked.

This is probably one of Fashion world's most devastating news. He might not be as great and legendary as Yves Saint Laurent but he sure as hell brought the style and haute couture perspective to an astronomical level sending breath-taking items on the runway especially in his last collection, dubbed "Plato's Atlantis".

I personally mourn for his loss. Ciao Mr. McQueen, you will be remembered... forever.

Mtv's new look

MTV is known to most people around the globe as a channel entirely devoted to Music but this image has change for the past couple of years. as many of you have noticed and have noticed it first before the excecs at MTV did, the network now has become more like a reality-show channel than a music-television as what they claim in their famous tag line. these days we see more awards nights and shows that obviously has no sense at all but is entertaining for most people (oh please! thats the jersey shore!), programs that have made them thrive in the media industry, than music videos. so to make it more appropriate, MTV has dropped the "music television" tag line after so many years of it being there.

according to sources, MTV is now working on a new tagline to match their new logo.
what dont they try, MTV- snooki's-boobs-on-your-face-television. no??!

the runways of the women's spring -summer 2010 points a very clear path towards the sporty side of fashion. stripes, sweaters, varsity jackets and the denominator, the socks. alexander wang was very clear with what inspired him for his latest collection sending out stripes, sweatpants, shorts and padded varsity jackets on his paris runway, something that we envision the jocks from college would wear.

the collections were sporty indeed but there were no sneakers or training shoes to be seen. so trade those chucks and nikes for a classier, sophisticated and more feminine heeled stunners.
